Apartment Review for Drexmore Mansion - Cleveland, OH

I lived in this building in the 1990's. It was suppose to be a Shaker Square Historical Site along with the apartment building on Ludlow Rd/South Moreland. I don't believe the VanSwerigen family intended their structures to be turned into trashy dumps. There is no reconstructive repair or updating of the grounds. Old original beautiful landscaping was removed and thrown out. The structure is crumbling from the inside out. Fire would come of the electrical outlets. The fire department made the statement that the wiring is old and needs to be completely replaced. Rats, mice and giant water roaches infest the area. The strict Ludlow Communnity integrity was never maintained or cared about from the 1980's. The historical vaulted ceilings and fire places mean nothing and crumble with age. This property has changed ownership over and over again and still nothing is being seriously done to make a major overhaul and restore the property to it's original status. Rent $$$ is being taken in and nothing being put into the property. Nothing high profile anymore. A completely different element has come into being in Ludlow. Where is it's beauty and elegance?
